Privacy Policy

CHRM is an AI-powered interview-prep app that helps you practice high-stakes communication for finance and consulting recruiting. We built CHRM to collect as little about you as possible. This page explains, in plain English, what we do and don't collect.

What we collect

We use privacy-preserving product analytics (via PostHog) to understand how the app is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. These events contain no personal information. The events we track are:

• app_opened — that the app was launched.
• onboarding steps — which onboarding steps were reached or skipped.
• drill_completed — that a practice drill finished, with its category and a numeric score only (for example, "Behavioral, 7/10").
• paywall events — that the subscription screen was shown, tapped, or that a purchase completed.

What we do NOT collect

• No names or email addresses. There is no account system.
• No stored recordings or transcripts. We do not keep the audio you record or the text of your answers.
• No contact lists, location tracking, or advertising identifiers.

How your audio is handled

When you complete a voice drill or mock interview, your recording is sent to OpenAI's Whisper service to convert your speech to text so the app can coach you. The transcribed text is used to generate your feedback and is then discarded. We do not store your audio or transcripts on our servers. Please avoid saying anything in a recording that you would not want processed by a third-party AI service.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to make CHRM work. We share only the minimum needed for each to do its job:

Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Your practice history is stored locally on your device, and you can remove it by deleting your data in the app or uninstalling it. Audio and transcripts are processed only momentarily to produce your results and are not retained by us. Anonymous analytics are kept in aggregate to help us improve the product.

Children

CHRM is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
